Low down on the Hannover – Messe 2012

Friday, April 27th, 2012

So, it is day three at the Hannover-Messe here in Germany, one of the leading trade shows for factory, process, and industrial automation. As you know Industrial Automation is a platform – from energy-efficient power transmission to ultra-precise measurement and control systems. Stephen Royle, Sales and Marketing Director is visiting the show, seeing what’s new in the industry and most importantly developing our relationship with our clients. This year the prevailing theme of the show was “greenintelligence” relevant information on how to maximise efficient processes and sustainable resources which will drive the business responsibly forward.

As our company is global we rely on all forms of media to keep in touch, but still there is such benefit in meeting with our customers and clients face to face. Yesterday Stephen met with our Chilean partner – Techno Drives Centre, he discussed the industry and they developed a better understanding of each other’s businesses and so cemented our relationship further.

Stephen also met with a number of other clients and potential distributors including companies from the Ukraine, Turkey and Finland.

Stands that stood out for us are

SEW – great stand, one particular point of interest is their Movigear

DANFOSS – great information on going GREEN and how to be energy efficient

ABB – great stand design but we were especially interested in Power Technologies

EATON – another great stand, lots of industrial automation equipment including smart wire

Top Halls for us were Halls 11, 15 and 14, really good stands, lots of interactive opportunities between halls which enhances our overall experience of the fair.

Stephen Royle commented “This year at Hannover-Messe you can see that there is a greater investment into exhibitor stands and the supportive marketing material; there are a lot more people attending, there is far more traffic which ultimately is a positive sign for the industrial automation industry. Really great show.”

Variable Speed Drives are not needed in all applications, with fixed speed loads, a soft-starter is a better option.
